Online Therapy for Parents & Caregivers in Washington
Who is taking care of you?
You remember the appointments, the meds, the permission slips, and everyone’s feelings.
Sound familiar?
You’re always on call, even when you are technically off
You feel guilty for being tired, and guilty for resting
You’ve become your family’s (or work family’s) project manager, advocate, and chauffeur, with no one checking your title
“I’m fine” come out automatically
You may be grieving the life you expected while loving the one you have
You feel resentful, then ashamed of feeling resentful
For parents of children with disabilities or special needs.
Raising a child with a disability can mean constant advocacy, endless appointments, and systems that weren’t built for your family. After years as a teacher and school counselor, I understand school meetings, evaluations, and paperwork, and how draining it all is.
I’m also a parent who’s lived this, so I know the exhaustion that never shows up on anyone’s calendar.
Who is this for…
Parents (including parents of children with special needs), family caregivers for aging parents or partners, pet parents and caregivers, and anyone who’s the responsible one. Not a parent or caregiver?

FAQs
-
No. Many people come before things start to fall apart.
-
Yes! It’s common and human, and we can chat about this without judgement.
You’ll often hear me say, “You cannot control the situation, but you can control how you choose to react.”
-
There is a reason why I chose telehealth. I know how overwhelming schedules can be. Virtual sessions mean no commute, and we’ll work with the schedule you actually have.
-
Absolutely! For many people, a pet is family and losing one or caring for a pet through illness can hit hard. We can talk about it without minimizing what you are experiencing.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You may have questions about what therapy will actually look like, whether we’ll be a good fit, or even where to begin.
The free consultation is simply a chance to talk. You can tell me a little bit about what brings you here, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no pressure to schedule.

Our first session is a little different from a typical therapy session. I’ll spend some time getting to know you, talk about what brought you to therapy, and look at what you hope will change. I will ask questions about your history and what’s happening in your life now so we can begin to understand the bigger picture.
There will be plenty of time for your questions, too. We will use what we learn together to begin figuring out what approach makes the most sense for you.
Delivered via secure, HIPAA-compliant video session (60-90 minutes) - $145

Our sessions will look different depending on what you need. Sometimes we may slow down and make sense of something that keeps happening. Sometimes we’ll work on a practical problem that is making life hard. And sometimes we’ll spend time using bilateral stimulation (EMDR) or diving deep into a reaction that seems bigger than the situation itself.
I draw from several approaches, including CBT, relational work, and EMDR, depending on what fits you and what we are working on.
$145
Virtual sessions are currently available throughout Washington State via secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions, with in-person therapy options available on the Key Peninsula (coming soon!).

Estuary Wellness & Counseling is currently an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly at this time. Superbills are provided upon request for clients to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement for counseling costs.
Reduced-fee sliding scale spots are available in limited capacity for individuals experiencing financial hardship. I want cost to be as transparent as possible, and when I have the capacity, I reserve a small number of reduced-fee spots via OpenPath Collective for clients experiencing financial hardship.
Please feel welcome to reach out with questions.
