Online Anxiety Therapy in Washington
Your brain is trying to help (it’s just dramatic about it)
If your mind runs worst-case scenarios on a loop, replays last week’s conversation, and won’t settle even when you’re exhausted, that isn’t weakness. It’s a nervous system doing its job a little too well. I’m Kim, and I offer online anxiety therapy for teens and adults across Washington.
Does this sound familiar?
Overthinking conversations, decisions, and things that haven’t happened yet
Feeling on edge, restless, or tense for no clear reason
Trouble sleeping because your brain has opinions at 2 a.m.
Saying yes to avoid conflict, then dreading what you agreed to
Rehearsing how to say things, then not saying them
Feeling like you have to keep everyone okay
Avoiding things because they feel like too much
Anxiety and people-pleasing often travel together
For many people, anxiety is partly a job: anticipate everyone’s needs, avoid disappointing anyone, stay one step ahead. It’s a smart strategy that gets exhausting. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you or making you stop caring. It’s about understanding where the pattern came from and deciding what you want to do with it now.
How I work with anxiety
I draw from approaches like CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and nervous-system-informed work. The goal is for you to understand what’s happening in your mind and body and leave sessions with tools you can use on a Tuesday afternoon, not just in my office. When anxiety is tied to past experiences that keep feeling present, we can explore if EMDR may be appropriate.

Teens welcome
I work with teens 13+ on anxiety, school stress, social pressure, and big transitions. After 20+ years as a teacher and school counselor, I know what teens are juggling at school and at home.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You may have questions about what therapy will actually look like, whether we’ll be a good fit, or even where to begin.
The free consultation is simply a chance to talk. You can tell me a little bit about what brings you here, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no pressure to schedule.

Our first session is a little different from a typical therapy session. I’ll spend some time getting to know you, talk about what brought you to therapy, and look at what you hope will change. I will ask questions about your history and what’s happening in your life now so we can begin to understand the bigger picture.
There will be plenty of time for your questions, too. We will use what we learn together to begin figuring out what approach makes the most sense for you.
Delivered via secure, HIPAA-compliant video session (60-90 minutes) - $145

Our sessions will look different depending on what you need. Sometimes we may slow down and make sense of something that keeps happening. Sometimes we’ll work on a practical problem that is making life hard. And sometimes we’ll spend time using bilateral stimulation (EMDR) or diving deep into a reaction that seems bigger than the situation itself.
I draw from several approaches, including CBT, relational work, and EMDR, depending on what fits you and what we are working on.
$145
Virtual sessions are currently available throughout Washington State via secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions, with in-person therapy options available on the Key Peninsula (coming soon!).

Estuary Wellness & Counseling is currently an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly at this time. Superbills are provided upon request for clients to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement for counseling costs.
Reduced-fee sliding scale spots are available in limited capacity for individuals experiencing financial hardship. I want cost to be as transparent as possible, and when I have the capacity, I reserve a small number of reduced-fee spots via OpenPath Collective for clients experiencing financial hardship.
